It is
my pleasure to announce that HB105, related to Retiree Health
Insurance Subsidy, has successfully come out of Government
Operations Committee. With your show of support, they voted
favorably on YOUR bill unanimously 6-0.
Now the
Bill has been received by the Fiscal Council, Chaired by Rep. Joe
Negron. We need your support to get HB105 placed on the Agenda for
the next committee meeting. So... here is what you and your many
friends can do:
ACTION SUGGESTION:
1)
Find your State Representative (You
could go to
http://www.vote-smart.org/index.htm,
put your 9 digit zip code (left hand side), and you will find your
state Representative).
2)
Call your State Rep., say your name and
your organization, and ask his/her staff to: "Please have Rep.
NAME submit a request to co-sponsor House Bill 105 by
Representative Bob Allen, relating to the Retiree Health Insurance."
tell them that you will follow up with their office in two
days and you appreciate Rep. NAME's endorsement.
3)
Contact Rep. Joe Negron- the Chairman
of the Fiscal Council (850-488-8832), and ask him to: "Please Agenda
House Bill 105 by Representative Bob Allen, relating to the Retiree
Health Insurance
4)
Contact Ms. Cynthia Kelly- the Staff
Director for the Fiscal Council (850-488-6204), and ask her
to:"Please ask Chairman Negron to Agenda HB 105 by Representative
Bob Allen, relating to the Retiree Health Insurance
5) Email your State Rep.,
Chairman Joe Negron (joe.negron@myfloridahouse.gov),
and Staff Director Cynthia Kelly(cynthia.kelly@myfloridahouse.gov)
saying the same thing. Lastly FOLLOW UP in two days by phone call.

and click on Representatives to find out contact information on your
local State Rep.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Only
after the Bill has been placed in the Agenda, then you could contact
the following Fiscal Council Members and ask them to please vote
yes:
SENATE COMPANION BILL:
In
the Senate, SB442 by Senator Lawson, passed Government Operations
unanimously and is currently waiting to be picked up in the
next Ways and Means Committee agenda. You may want to also email and
call the Ways and Means Chairman Senator Lisa Carlton

carlton.lisa.web@
flsenate.gov), and ask her to respectfully consider placing Senate Bill 442 in the next agenda.
