I sent them and request that they support and co-sponsor our Bills.

Dear Hillsborough County Florida Legislative Delegation:
Please consider supporting
HB 105, HB 659, and HB 389. If possible, we ask that you sign on as
co-sponsors of these three very important pieces of legislation.
HEALTH INSURANCE
SUPPLEMENT
HB 105 by Representative Bob
Allen would incrementally increase the Health Insurance Supplement for
retirees who qualify for FRS from $5 to $7 for each year of service up
to a maximum of 30 years. Representatives Ausley, Brandenburg, and
Richardson are cosponsors of this Bill. HB 105 has already unanimously
passed the Government Operations committee and is scheduled next to go
to Fiscal Council and then on to the State Administration Council. The
Senate has a companion Bill SB 442 by Senator Alfred Lawson and is
co-sponsored by Argenziano and Bennet. Senate Bill 442 has already
passed unanimously by the Government and Oversight and Productivity
committee and has one final stop at the Ways & Means Committee.
DROP
HB 659 by Representative
Ralph Arza would extend the DROP program to school administrators for an
additional three years similar to what the law presently allows for
teachers. This Bill has been assigned to Government Operations, Fiscal
Council, and State Administration Council. The Senate has a companion
Bill SB 1064 by Senator Charlie Clary and Co-Sponsored by Senator Evelyn
Lynn. Senate Bill 1064 has already passed unanimously by the Education
Committee and will go next to the Government and Oversight &
Productivity and Ways and Means committees.
REHIRE AFTER RETIREMENT
HB 389 by Representative
Bill Proctor would allow school administrators to be re-employed one
month after retiring, similar to what the law presently allows for
teachers. This Bill has been assigned to Pre-K, Educations
Appropriations, and Education Council committees. The senate has a
companion Bill SB 102 by Senator Stephen Wise and co-sponsored by
Senator James King. SB 102 has already passed unanimously by the
Education Committee and is scheduled to go to Rules & Calendar and the
Ways and Means committees.
