Public School students with a $1,000 donation to the education of the
scholarship recipient.
The Hillsborough Education Foundation is an
independent, not-for-profit organization which has been serving the

Nova Southeastern University sponsors two $1,000
academic scholarships
through a tuition voucher for HASA’s scholarship program each academic
year. NSU also waives a $50.00 admission application fee to all
HASA members applying for the Masters, Educational Specialist’s, or
doctorate degree programs.

In 1934, teachers chartered the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union
to help one another. Since then, SSFCU has expanded the criteria
for membership. Now, in addition to school employees, membership
is open to children attending public school in Hillsborough, Pasco and
Hernando counties, employees of many local businesses, hospitals,
cities and counties and people age 55 and over, as well as immediate
