Dear Hillsborough administrators:

Several weeks ago HASA asked you to participate in a survey requesting your input on the salary study initiative that has been undertaken.  Many of you responded to the survey and the consensus was that HASA should continue pursuing this initiative.  You also said that you wanted more information regarding the Salary Indexing and the Career Ladder options being considered.  This email has been prepared in response to your request for more information.  Attached are:

1.  An Executive Summary of the survey responses we received.

2.  A clearer and more detailed explanation of how the Salary Indexing Plan would work.

3.  A PowerPoint presentation further explaining the Salary Indexing Plan using visuals.

4.  A general idea of how the Career Ladder Program could work.

Please take the time to study this information and give us additional feedback and questions.  Address your concerns to Dr. John Miliziano, HASA’s Executive Director, at jmilizia@verizon.net .

The next step will be to create several Focus Groups to study and develop a salary plan for all Hillsborough County Public School administrators that will be acceptable to the superintendent and the school board.  We went into this initiative knowing that funds are not currently available to support salary increases.  Once a plan is adopted, it will be available when the economy recovers and funds are in place for implementation.
